OPERATION WALK 2026

While these days in my 9 to 5 I’m in a management role, I’ve been a Registered Nurse for almost 9 years and have spent the majority of that time working in the Operating Room and in Orthopedics.

It’s been a goal of mine for a very long time to participate in a medical mission-I currently work at one of the top Orthopedic hospitals in the world and when I was presented with the opportunity to participate in a trip to Guatemala, I was thrilled.

Orthopedic surgery can sometimes get a weird rap in the medical world because it is often considered ‘elective’. But elective means non-life-threatening—not unnecessary. For individuals with Orthopedic ailments, especially ailments of large joints that support walking, these problems can truly alter quality of life. So, it is truly an honor to participate in this effort and to bring life-revitalizing care to those who otherwise may not be able to receive it.

I started doing cookie art after an all night session of Christmas cookie decorating in December 2020. I quickly became obsessed and watched every YouTube video and Instagram tutorial I could get my hands on.

Through cookie decorating, I’ve found the perfect marriage of my loves of baking and art. I strive toward a final result that is as fulfilling for my customers as it is for me.
